HVACandRoof is a matching marketplace, not a contractor. We connect your project with screened, independent local businesses — they do the work, own the relationship, and stand behind it. Here's the whole process, including how we get paid.

Describe your project
Use the free planning estimator or call us. For mini-split and HVAC projects you immediately see a preliminary plan — likely zones, capacity range and the factors that shape price — before sharing any contact details.

We confirm coverage and match
We check that screened, independent contractors actually cover your area. If they do, your request is shared with at most 3 of them — never sold broadly. If they don't, we say so instead of matching you badly.

Contractors contact you directly
Matched contractors reach out, ask their own follow-up questions, and schedule site visits. From this point the conversation is yours and theirs — we don't sit in the middle of your negotiation.

Compare written estimates and decide
Each contractor provides their own written estimate, contract and warranty terms. You compare them on equal footing and hire whoever earns it — or nobody. There's no obligation and no fee for homeowners.
How we're paid — disclosed plainly
HVACandRoof is a lead-generation marketplace operated by HVAC and Roof Corp — we match your request with screened contractors who are independent businesses owning their own licenses, estimates, contracts and warranties. One exception, disclosed here and again if it applies to you: HVAC and Roof Corp holds EPA Section 608 Universal certification and general liability insurance and performs some work itself, so the contractor matched to you is occasionally us. When that happens the site says so plainly, because a contractor affiliated with the marketplace is not an independent one. HVACandRoof may receive a disclosed fee or commission from independent contractors for qualified requests or completed jobs; there is no such fee on work we perform ourselves. Asking for a match is free for homeowners either way.
Contractors stay independent
Every contractor in the network is an independent business. They own their licenses, estimates, contracts, workmanship, warranties, Google Business Profiles and advertising. HVACandRoof screens for credentials and match quality — see exactly what screening includes — but hiring decisions, pricing and the work itself are between you and the contractor you choose.
