Mini-Split Installation in Dallas, TX
Coverage confirmed per request. Dallas is part of our pilot rollout. Send a request and we'll tell you directly whether screened mini-split installation contractors are available for your address.
The Dallas mini-split argument is almost never about the whole house — it is about the room the ducts never reached. Converted garages, enclosed patios, backyard offices and additions are everywhere in the older neighbourhoods, and they were typically served by extending a duct run that was sized before they existed. That extension steals air from the rest of the house and still underserves the new room. A dedicated ductless zone conditions it independently and leaves the original system covering what it was designed for.
The installation itself is generally easier here than in our Illinois markets, and for a structural reason: most of this housing is brick veneer over a frame wall rather than solid masonry, so a line-set penetration is an ordinary job rather than a coring operation. What takes its place as the awkward question is where the condenser goes. Lot lines in the newer subdivisions are tight, many neighbourhoods have an association with a view about equipment visible from the street, and both belong in the first site visit rather than in an appeal afterwards.
One local specification worth raising: hail. An outdoor unit in North Texas is exposed to storms that flatten coil fins, and flattened fins are lost capacity you pay for in every August afterwards. Ask whether a hail guard is available for the unit being quoted and what it does to airflow, because a guard fitted badly costs you the same capacity the hail would have.
About mini-split installation generally
Ductless mini-splits are our launch specialty. Whether it's one bedroom that never cools down or whole-home, multi-zone comfort, a well-designed mini-split project starts with your rooms — square footage, layout, insulation and how you use each space — not with a catalog page.
HVACandRoof is a matching marketplace. We put your request in front of a small number of screened mini-split installers in your area, after you've seen an honest preliminary plan from our free estimator. Those installers are independent businesses that visit the space, confirm sizing and give you their own written estimates — with one exception we always name: HVAC and Roof Corp performs some installations itself, and when the contractor matched to you is us, the site says so.
